Food trip in pictures…

So, what’s a guy to do after splurging his hard earned bucks on a digital camera? Why, go eat and put the camera to its paces of course!

Here are some of the shots I took while binging on foods over the weekend.

Vietnamese chicken noodle from Pho Bac

Spring rolls with peanut sauce, also from the same restaurant

The next day…

Sunday night saw my kid brother treating Mom and I to a seafood dinner at the Seaside Market in Baclaran, just beside the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help — otherwise known as the Baclaran Church. For the uninitiated, the two-story building houses a wet market on the first floor where diners can choose and buy either fresh or live seafoods, and have them cooked at one of the restaurants on the second floor.

Fish…

Note: The flash was a wee bit too much here, I should have toned it down a bit to soften the lighting.

… and more fish!

Good sized prawns = freaking expensive!

Live lobsters waiting for the inevitable inside a tank

Crunchylicious deep fried shrimps…

… and yes, you eat the whole thing, including the head.

Crabs fried in butter… did I just hear someone say, cholesterol??

Fresh oysters… or what was left of them.
